The second HYP Cup 2013 International Student Competition in Architectural Design is hosted by The School of Architecture of Tianjin University and the Chinese press group, Urban Environment Design (UED); the competition is open to students of architecture worldwide. The International Union of Architects supports this initiative.

With the theme ‘Architecture must disappear’ the competition expects something radical for the future. The official brief states “Architecture as a discipline should no longer think in terms of objects. Walls, facades, structures, are only modalities of architecture, but never its finality. Design comes after situations. Architects deal with situations.”
