Lets design a billboard! Tivoli Audio design challenge from Designboom

Tivoli LogoTIVOLI AUDIO a renowned table radio maker is inviting designers, illustrators, and photographers from around the world to participate in a special International competition celebrating the design and creativity.
you are asked to prepare a poster to celebrate TIVOLI Audio’s 10th anniversary, using the medium of your choice: illustration, photography, painted, hand drawn or computer aided etc.
all entries need to include an image of the new 1 - TIVOLI AUDIO MODEL 10 radio, 2 - the TIVOLI AUDIO LOGO and 3 - the TIVOLI AUDIO LOGO 10TH ANNIVERSARY in your poster design. The winning artist’s work will be featured on a billboard at 1535 Marriott marquis rotunda mesh face in Times Square, NYC for the month of December 2010.

Here is the key information about the competition
Registration Deadline: September 30th, 2010.
Registration is free.
Participation is open for all applicants from every country in the world, to professionals, students and design-enthusiasts.
Anyone can submit the design individually or in a team work.

Awards: 1st prize $ 3000 USD
              2nd prize $ 2000 USD
              3rd prize $ 1000 USD

eVolo logoSince last couple of years eVolo has become one of the main center of interests to tall building lovers. From a design competition at the beginning now it has become a prolific magazine that gives the picture of the future of vertical urban density.

eVolo Skyscraper Design Competition 2011 has been launched recently. Addressing the growing necessity of tremendous  urban density yet a vision to create a sustainable solution towards the energy consumption of tall structure may become the target of every designer thinking of taller and bigger. And no other than the eVolo competition is a perfect place to let your brain think 'tall' think sustainable and think different to help solve many crises through one solution.

Early registration deadline: November 16th 2010
Submission deadline: January 18th 2011
Early registration fees: 65$
Individual or team registration is accepted separate registration for each project submitted.

Design Against Elements competition

It's the time to change the climate change. And there are several opportunities around you to get involved in the change. And as architects and designers we have certain responsibilities we should take care of.

The City of Taguig, United Architects of the Philippines and others jointly organizing an international design competition of it's kind you will certainly get the opportunity to get involved in the change-making by architecture. The competition is entitled as 'Design Against the Elements' initiated after the tropical storm Ondoy (Ketsana) in Philippines.

The winning design will be built as a prototype disaster-resistant and livable eco-village in Taguig City, Metro Manila. The village will be the first green and disaster-resistant community in Philippines.

The design task include an urban housing development masterplan which may be replicated in similar areas; an integrated innovative sustainable solution by understanding of the local economy, society and environment.

The competition is divided into two categories of entries,
Category 1 is open to all architects from any country registered according to the relevant laws in their respective countries.
Category 2 is open to all students in architecture in their senior years and to graduates of an architecture degree.
Registration Deadline: September 24, 2010
Submission Deadline: November 19, 2010
For category 1 a 30 USD registration fee applies payable via bank transfers.
There is no registration fee for Category 2 participants.
Awards: Category-1 first prize: $10,000 USD, Category-2 first prize: $3,000 USD and other prizes.
